Band.
The band is a solid starter for any page-either by itself or combined with other foundations. Kelly Noel makes great use of her foundation here. A soft vertical band of patterned paper establishes the working area on the canvas. Her photo spans most of the width of the band, and the low-contrast mats of patterned paper add interest. The band also houses a title just above the photo and journaling below on strips.
