Set a scene.
Our stories take place in the world, but photos don’t always show the context of that world. Use motifs to set that scene the photo doesn’t show.
Michele Clement tells a story of the fall season with a photo of her face cropped close in and looking to the right. In her line of view are diecut leaves, a tree, and sky-print patterned paper. In combination with the title, we “get” what the setting is before even beginning to read the journaling.
