Go small with your photo.
Corrie Jones’ page about how her daughter loves the beach has just one quite small photo that shows her daughter with the sea behind.
The photo is a dramatic crop with lots of white space, and it stands out against her complex layered and patterned background because of its simplicity.
When you’re designing remember it’s not a BIG size that caches the eye. Rather, it is contrasts. Here, a small photo on a large expanse of map print paper stands out.
