Titlework alignments and placement.
Everything on the page should be placed in relationship to something else. That doesn’t mean they all have to line up, but, rather, that they are placed with an understanding of how they do or do not connect to the other elements. AND of how the placement creates (or doesn’t create) organizing white space (margins and gutters).
Celeste Smith’s title on “Milo Outdoors” includes two stacked words. Notice how the short “Milo” is rendered to span the same width as outdoors–using a larger alpha and spreading out so that each end aligns. And there is more: the bottom of “outdoors” aligns with the bottom of the photo grouping and the white button.
