Choose a photo that’s an accent to the story instead of its focus.
Corrie Jones says, “On the 8th of every month, I record 8 things/feelings/realities that I am experiencing. It’s not my kids’ or husband’s stuff. It’s mine.”
Corrie’s photo here, of her feet and the pavement below them, puts her physically into the layout, but not in a front-and-center way. Rather, she’s off to the side, and all of her journaling bits–her 8 “things”–take center stage. The content and cropping of the photo as well as its placement make this so.
