Geometrics are great mixers.
Geometric patterns can be great mixers with other prints (like floral or representational motif) since they’re meaning neutral and can be found in so many variations and colors.
On the left side of “Master Builder,” Kim Watson used a themed “schematic-drawing” print along with a woodgrain to support her story of her son’s love of building. On the right she’s included geometrics: a diagonal stripe and a tone-on-tone honeycomb.
All of the prints are in light values and let the bolder photos shine.
