ALLEGORIST | Gobble Gobble by Amber Ries

Use an allegorist style to tell a holiday story.

Amber Ries used the concrete images associated with Thanksgiving in the USA to tell this story. Its a story of her longing to celebrate Thanksgiving though she now lives in Germany. She’s included turkeys, pumpkins and sheaths of wheat.

She says, “If a turkey symbolizes abundance, generosity and harvest, then a turkey is the perfect symbol on a page about wishing for a thanksgiving celebration abundant in friends, family and food!”
