MIXING PATTERNED PAPER | I Love This by Doris Sander

Mix motifs in a variety of scales.

Scale refers to how big or small the pattern elements are on the paper–and with the motif size relationships on the page.

While Doris Sander’s page is about a Cub Scout camping trip, since she was the only woman on the trip, she went with a girly, floral theme and scrapbooked the story from her perspective. She says, ” I even included a photo of the only other girl there, the little sister of my son’s best friend.”

Doris has used five floral prints here–six if you count the floral-print button. Notice the mix of motif scales here. The background print has very small flowers; the framed blue print has slightly larger flowers; and the pink and green print has the largest flowers.
