Emily Pitts used this unexpected self-portrait taken by her son to convey that this boy is never dull. She started with the not-dull photo and gave it a not-dull design.
So many of her choices go against the expected: the symmetry, the diagonal stripes both going inward, the band of dots, the bow-tied title are all unusual. And then there’s that boy peeking in from the bottom of the photo to make this a must-view page.
