What do you want to know? Or, better yet, what question sends the mind of your viewer into territory that enriches the story on your page. Betsy Sammarco’s “Would She Laugh” is a rumination on how her great grandmother, who farmed with geese, would regard Betsy’s coddled suburban ducks.
Betsy says, “I loved hearing stories about the farm, and in a very naive way, have dreamed of living on a farm myself. I realize now, being not so naive, how difficult farm life is and how hard they worked.”
