Dina Wakley’s “Bright” is a sea of blues with pops of red and yellow. Her title is one of those yellow pops–which immediately draws the eye. She has, thus, paired it with the photo so that the eye also takes it in at first look.
The page is a message to her son that his future is bright. She said, “I chose blue to be the dominant color because the tinted blues look like the water in the photo. They also represent, to me, movement, waves, and the progression of time. The yellow patterned paper is a visual pop, so I put it near the photo to draw the eye.”
