Lisa Dickinson says, “This photo was taken at my son’s final swim meet of the season when he swam the butterfly in the medley relay. I wanted to document his growth and success over the past seasons and mark how far he had come.”
“Because the photo and layered mat are high-impact elements, the title needed to have a boldness to hold its own in this design. I mixed letter stickers and a die cut word to create a dynamic title. I used a portion of the white space in the lower right of the photo to house the title. The ligature on the “y” in boy extends to draw the eye to the journaling block and tie text into the design as well.
