Short, chunky and next to the photo
Don’t overthink it and get a solid design every time when you use a simple label for title content and render it with one chunky alpha in a single color. Layer it over or near the primary photo and you’ve got a focal point that tells the viewer what the page is about.
Dina Wakley says, “This page is about the ubiquitous red phone boxes in Britain. They’re slowly disappearing, though, now that fewer people use pay phones.” Her title lets you know that it’s these “red boxes” that are the point of this story, and it adds emphasis to the photo.
