Synergy between rendering and meaning.
Lisa Dickinson’s creative titlework on “You Three Are My A To Z” is a stand-out piece with synergy between meaning and rendering.
Lisa says, “Alphabets are one of my favorite scrapbook supplies, and I love finding creative ways to incorporate letters into my designs. Here, I’ve printed rows of alphabet characters (set in the font Clarendon) and used them as I would use a large block of patterned paper on a page. Inserted into the lines of the alphabet (using the same font) is my page title. I’ve made it stand out by making it a darker color than the other lines of type. You could also use letter stickers or chipboard to achieve this same look.
